August 2016 !!! Overweight, unfit, smoking a pack a day !!! Something had to change.
Not interested is joining a regular gym because I knew I wouldn’t drive myself to train correctly, I heard of Crossfit Return through a friend and they spoke highly of the training, coaches etc…. I had nothing to lose and all to gain !!!
Sheepishly I attended my 1st class where Owner and head coach Lucy was there to meet and greet and ensure my movements etc were of basic standard that I could enjoy and survive my initial outing. I had previously completed the fundamental requirements to starting Crossfit.
1 year on I can’t thank CFR enough. The coaching staff, Lucy, Billy, Aoife & Mike in particular have not only driven and coached me back in shape but have become “my friends”. Their individual knowledge of all CFR members is testament to each coach and their encouragement that makes the training so enjoyable. I started by doing 9 classes a month, attending in the evenings but within 2 months increased my attendance to 3 classes minimum a week. I now try and train 5 days a week !!
I’ve never felt better !! I’ve achieved PB’s that I never envisaged!! I’m a regular 6.30am attendee which allows me to return home and drop the kids to school but now with a pep in my step !! Everyday is different in CFR which adds to the enjoyment. It’s great to see the regular and new faces all the time as I still remember my 1st class. everyone is made feel welcome !!
I’m 46 years young and would encourage anyone who wants to try something new In their personal lives to give CFR a try !! I guarantee you’ll come back for more !!!!
